Discover El Molar

The Villa de El Molar, located 40 km north of the city of Madrid, has many tourist attractions, with outstanding monuments, events and unique parties of great popularity and a rich and renowned local cuisine.

Our municipality is located in a privileged natural environment, surrounded by hills of great environmental value, which also offer exceptional panoramic views. The Molar is known, in fact, as the Balcón de la Sierra, and from the highest points, as from the old Arab watchtower, we can distinguish the Sierra de La Cabrera, the Cerro de San Pedro and the Cuerda Larga and its foothills, with the summit of Mondalindo as a reference.

Among our monuments stands the imposing Parochial Church of the Assumption of Our Lady, declared by its value of Cultural Interest, with Gothic and Renaissance elements. And the remains of an ancient watchtower, erected by Muslims hundreds of years ago, are preserved. Special mention should be made of the numerous caves and wineries, located in the hills surrounding the town, many of which have an interesting network of interior passageways.

Every year El Molar organizes and celebrates parties and events of great reception, such as the Wine Fair, with a dozen editions, and the Living Bethlehem, one of the most spectacular and striking of the entire Community of Madrid.

Discover and know the Village of El Molar, it sure surprises you!
